People lie. Numbers do not. In Watch Your Back, twelve well-known Dutch personalities, including Roos Schlikker, Samantha Steenwijk, Rikkie Kollé, and London Loy, receive a number on their back. Visible to everyone except themselves. Yellowspot designed and built the round back displays and developed the game software for wireless control of the system. People lie. Numbers do not. That is the premise of Watch Your Back, the psychological game show from AVROTROS that will be broadcast weekly on NPO Start starting January 2026.

Twelve well-known Dutch personalities — Maria Tailor, Sjaak (Mehdi Chafi), Roos Schlikker, Rikkie Kollé, Sean Demmers, Dzifa Kusenuh, Olivier van de Voort, Thijs Zeeman, Loek Peters, London Loy, Samantha Steenwijk, and Eva Koreman — enter a remote mansion for a game full of strategy, deception, and suspicion. Every morning, a new number appears on their backs, visible to everyone except themselves. The only way to survive: trust the right people and uncover your own number. But who tells the truth?

Yellowspot designed and built the round back displays that carry that number. Each participant, each episode, wirelessly controlled via proprietary game software that Yellowspot developed entirely in-house. The system determines when a number appears, changes, and disappears, perfectly synchronized with the production's direction.

Watch Your Back is a format from Signal.Stream, co-developed with Talpa Studios and Kinetic Content, the creators of Love is Blind and Married at First Sight. The series is distributed internationally by Talpa Studios.
